Collars

I particularly like the quick release collars with the added feature of having a variable load quick release. This means that you are able to easily adjust the break away load of the buckle. You can increase the buckle’s holding strength so it only disengages if the cat is under more strain. This not only helps reduce the chance of your cat losing a collar every few weeks (as some very active cats tend to) but means that should they really get their collar stuck, they can still break free.

Rogz do a great range of different colours and styles so you should be able to find one that suits your cat.

There are also safety release collars with notes written across them. These are particularly useful for discouraging other people from feeding your cat when your cat has weight issues, is on a special prescription diet or needs to come home for meals to enable the cat to take their vital medication.

Kitty Collars offer a customisable range where you can purrsonalize the collar with your name and contact number if you'd prefer and they come in a range of colours.

After a quick release collar that oozes quality and comes with a lifetime guarantee?

ID Tags

You can find your cat a lightweight engravable tag like these coloured aluminium tags offered by Just Pet Tags.
These little ID tubes by Ancol are also very lightweight and you can usual leave a lot more detail as they contain a tiny scroll of paper that you can write your name, address and contact number on.

Cat Harnesses

Many cat harnesses on the market are not secure and cats can easily escape from them by reversing out of them. Fellow cat lover, Maria, developed her own design after a lot of research and feedback from cat owners and breeders.

These handmade Yorkshire Mynwood Jackets are bespoke, based on a few simple measurements from your cat. The results is a jacket style harness that is much more soft and comfy for cats than the mass produced collar style ones. They come in a multitude of different fabric styles and humorous designs, but I think my firm favourite is the superman one!

Having used one of these myself (before we were able to have our garden cat proofed) I can honestly say they are very well made, easy to use, look fantastic and stand the test of time.
