First and foremost, Jo is a cat lover just like you and has been a purrsonal assistant to her own multi-cat household since the day she was born. She's successfully hand-raised litters of abandoned kittens and has been known to grovel around on her hands and knees catching injured street cats while on honeymoon.

Jo graduated from vet school with first class honours with both a Bachelor in Veterinary Biology and Veterinary Medicine & Surgery. That was over two decades ago, and since then, she has polished her feline expertise over the years:

Alongside these paid projects, Jo volunteers her services to promote cat health and wellbeing by creating free content for leading charities, the press & media.​

Animal welfare advocate & campaigner

She regularly writes to local & international governments to voice her educated concerns about important issues for pets, wildlife, free-living, feral and farmed animals, both in the UK and abroad. She supports animal welfare charities whenever she can, by offering money, food and equipment donations so that they can continue their vital work on her behalf.

Jo is a lifelong advocate for improving the health and wellbeing of all animals as well as caring for our natural world and its precious resources. As well as working with animal rescue charities, Jo has volunteered many hours of her time to wildlife conservation from rehabilitating baby birds and marsupials, to projects monitoring the behaviours of reptiles and marine mammals.
