A bit more about The Cat Vet...
I've spent over two decades listening to hearts & taking blood samples, but I've always known that
it's just as important to watch & listen to
what cats (& their humans) are telling me.
I've adored, studied and helped cats all my life. The raw deal they often get when visiting the vet really upset me. Especially when I knew I could make a massive difference to their stress levels and health simply by seeing them in the comfort of their own homes.
So without a business bone in my body, I took the plunge and single-handedly started my own business, The Cat Vet. It was the best decision I could have made as it allowed me to not only fulfil my dream of setting up the UK’s first feline home-visiting vet clinic dedicated to cats, but has led to everything else I've been lucky enough to experience along the way.

Visiting pet cats in their natural habitat is such an uplifting experience - a far cry from the chaotic clinical environment I left behind. It's also given me a unique insight and understanding of what makes cats tick, their natural behaviour & subtle body language. And the best part is that I've used what I've learned to help so many of them live longer, happier, healthier lives.
Many a cup of tea has been sipped chatting with people like you about the importance of learning to 'think like a cat' - not just the beautiful, complex character who bats you in the face at 4am, but their inner ancestral wildcat - the one that drives every pet cat's thoughts, feelings and behaviour. You could say I'm on a mission to get more humans to regularly pause and ponder "What's my cat thinking?", and I'm really looking forward to sharing how it's done! Whether you're a human or a feline, mind and body health are so intimately connected. With our cats living amidst the pressures of the hectic, modern lives we lead, it's never been more important to understand and help them to live their best life. It's the mindset behind what drove me to start my clinic, write my book What's My Cat Thinking? and it's the basis of my online cat education resources, blog and courses. |
